Neighborhood Watch

Purpose

A neighborhood watch group is made up of concerned citizens that want to work hand-in-hand with law enforcement in battling crime in their community.  Members of the group will have monthly meetings where they will discuss crime fighting tips, have classes on how to not become a victim, and share information.  The group also organizes an information network, allowing members to contact each other to “be on the lookout” in the event of an immediate crime, or distribute information during a spree of crimes in a neighborhood.  A group, in short, adds countless eyes that will relay information to their local law enforcement agency.  The main goal is to educate and be vigilant because a well-informed public leads to a safer community.
