Responsibilities


The Information Technology Division is responsible for:
  • Maintaining the Sheriff's Office's inter-office data network and the various data applications
    • This includes designing, implementing, and evaluating the effectiveness of the system, managing the office's electronic systems, and ensuring the security of the data within
  • Managing and maintaining over 300 desktop and laptop computers and the 14 plus servers, which are included in the network
  • Providing network support through a help desk and end-user support coordinator
    • Technicians are on call around the clock to ensure the system is working properly
    • Technicians also respond to ad hoc requests for crime reports and write/implement programs
