Concealed Carry Course

Sign up for Handgun Concealed Carry Course Level 1

The St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Office is offering Concealed Handgun Training Courses at the St. Charles Parish Firing Range, which is located behind the Nelson Coleman Correctional Center. The cost of the course is $100.

Dates will be set for the courses in the near future.

Classes will begin at 8:00 a.m. and last until approximately 5:00 pm, with the ending time varying, depending on class size.
 
These classes cover all the necessary criteria for an individual to apply for a concealed handgun permit in Louisiana. The classes are taught by certified Louisiana POST certified firearms instructors, as well as Louisiana, concealed carry handgun instructors. The classes cover a variety of topics and methods of instruction.

The classes are open to everyone, including those who don't live in St. Charles Parish.

Classes do fill quickly and are on a first-come, first-served basis.
