Classes
HUNTER SAFETY TRAININGState law requires that all individuals born on or after September 1, 1969, must obtain a hunter education certificate card prior to purchasing a hunting license in Louisiana. Individuals must be ten years of age or older to be certified. The course will cover such topics as firearm safety, survival, first aid and wildlife identification. The classes will be held at the St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Firing Range located on LA 3127 in Killona, behind the Nelson Coleman Correctional Facility
Class size is limited to 30 students. Each student must pre-register and attend both dates.
TWO-DAY COURSE: (participants must attend both days)
- Fridays: 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm
- Saturdays: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
There will be 2 field days for individuals that have taken the course on
- Saturdays: 8:00 am to 1:00 pm
CIVILIAN RANGE DATES FOR RIFLE SHOOTING

LOUISIANA CONCEALED CARRY CLASSES
Citizens wishing to obtain their Louisiana Concealed Carry permit must attend an 8-hour training class in addition to complying with other requirements.
